Fundația Friends For Friends

The Friends For Friends Library presently holds around 1000 books and magazines  of creativity and the economy of knowledge. It also provides acces to 3 eBook readers. We aim to reach 3,500 titles in 2011, and we intend to launch a video archive.

Caffffe Creativa is a 100 sqm space located in 4^th Brezoianu, the 4^th floor, Bucharest. It is a resting place and gallery in which the creative mind shall be able to find inspiration and comfort. Open daily between 10:00 – 18:00. It is best to make an appointment, just ask corina.barbu@ffff.ro.

Do you have an innovative, out-of-the box project? If it is 1. an absolute first and 2. impactful, stay tuned. Soon we will release the pitching terms for a national scholarship program that will help creative minds in various disciplines to get things done. Women, Roma and young innovators are more than welcome to apply.

We h2ly believe that creative writing can change minds and souls, ultimately acquiring audience for the open-minded. We aim to create and sustain a yearly prize on the Pulitzer prize model so as to increase the share of voice for the decent, professional media writers in the country.

We believe that the Street is the perfect gallery for the display of disruptive, out-of-the-box ideas. Under a program called The Street Angels, together with our volunteers, we plan to attract the passers-by into an induction of fresh, provocative happenings, flash-mobs and experiments.

We have launched a new rubric, in partnership with Decat o Revista: the interviews on creativity, featuring prominent Romanian inventors, creative people and forward thinkers.

Project Change is an experimental think-tank comprising creative minds from various disciplines. Work in progress.

We believe that learning, aside from freely reachable inspiration, is an indispensable condition of a developing mind. We have several initiatives in the field of Education, such as supporting the reviving of a design competition for the young: Filter Design Festival – a project by Oricum. Speaking of education, our most intense desire is to help identify and nurture talent, possibly by organizing creative workshops and classes in schools around the country.
